Research Magazine #5 - Sierra Magazines; The Dirty Secret at the Bottom of the Great Lakes

The cover pages of all the "Sierra" magazines are filled with action and beauty; with vibrant colors and unique text options. The cover of this magazine has a teal hue to the page since it is located underwater in the great lakes with a diver pointing at a pipe on the lake's bottom. This magazine contains articles on Seattle stopping the use of plastic straws due to the pollution of their waterways, and chemicals from trash that are contaminating our local fish like yellow-finned tuna. Every article has a substantial amount of words - and like always beautiful pictures; they appear throughout the whole magazine stopping at least 10 pages before the ending of the magazine. Advertisements include hiking footwear, stocking-stuffer ideas, and more of the usual cars, toothpastes, etc. The table of contents includes the background of collage pictures that are in articles in the magazine. The distribution number for this magazine is 531,941 monthly. The john Muir Award, The Ansel Adams Award, The EarthCare Award, the Environmental Alliance Award, and 11 more awards were presented to the Sierra magazines in 2017 alone.
